‘Shisu Kendra’ is established in 2001 to work for the welfare of the disable children. Initially 20 children got admitted here. The Kendra was running smoothly at the initial stage with the assistance of civil society people, businessman and local elites. But in 2003 the financial assistance was reduced unfortunately. Since then the Kendra is running with 26 children. In the Shisu Kendra the disable children were provided with social education, family life education, skill development training, cultural programme, medical facilities etc. At present Karuna Foundation of Netherlands is supporting to run the Shisu Kendra. Thus Shisu Kendra has 7 years experience to run activities for the welfare of the welfare of the disable children. The management team of ACCAA Trust is now more experienced and hopes to work in large extent for the mentally challenged children. |
